Regardless of whether you are using Chorus2 or Arch as your Kodi web interface you should always protect this interface by creating your own username and password from within Kodi's Services → Control menu. If you don't password-protect this interface your Kodi controls will be on the Internet for anyone in the world to access.

By default Kodi users a profile called Master User because the majority of media center users only need a single profile. There is no login required for this account and Kodi will login to this automatically on startup. For multi user setup on Kodi we need to 1) enable logons and 2) define our users.
4.1 profiles.xml. A profile.xml file exists after the very first installation of Kodi at its userdata-folder and unless you have created additional profiles it won't have any other information as for the Master user (Kodis default user).
